The Centre opened in it’s current design in June 2010; since then a variety of groups and organisations have been welcomed through the doors, including a number of children’s birthday parties.
The Centre has recently re-opened to the very limited number of external groups that have been allowed to restart. We have worked hard to make it Covid secure. Some of these measures include: Covid 19 Signage, hand sanitizer available at the entrance, in the Hall and in the Meeting Room, a Sign-In book for Test & Protect purposes, door brakes on the internal vestibule doors to allow the doors to be locked open and so reduce the number of touch points, hand sanitizer dispensers outside each of the toilets. Currently only the Gents and Accessible toilet are open for use due to the very limited footfall.
May activities remain prohibited by the Scottish Government at the moment, these include: indoor soft play, large indoor gatherings, such as congregational meetings, informal hospitality, such as lunch clubs and coffee mornings and indoor performances in front of a live audience, including dramatic, musical or comedy performances. Any indoor meetings of any groups are subject to the Government restrictions on the number of households meeting inside or applicable guidance in relation to office premises depending on the venue. Many meetings fall under the category of ‘non-essential business’ for which no indicative date has been provided by the Government.
Activates that are currently allowed to resume are: indoor fitness/exercise groups and non-contact indoor sports and dance groups.

Anyone wishing to hire the Hall needs to advise us under which guidance they are able to open and then provide us with a proposal/risk assessment saying how they are going to comply with that guidance.
